What a joy that our heavenly Father has brought us to the end of the month, being also the end of the first quarter of this year.
Three months have come & gone already in 2019 yet the love & faithfulness of our Father remain unfailing.
That’s why I know, too, that your life, including your HEALTH won’t fail any longer, in Jesus’ most colourful name!
To Him alone be all the glory!
I am sure that service was heavenly today in church.
At KDCG, there was joy in heaven through us also, as one soul received Jesus into his life as Saviour & Lord, three persons rededicated their lives to Him & three new people came to Church.
Glory! Halleluyah!
Today, we concluded our teaching series for this month: LIVING IN TOTAL HEALTH.
I know that whatever wants to challenge your health from now won’t ever succeed, in Jesus’ most colourful name!
We’re asking three more questions.
1. Who’s Are You? Who Owns You? Who Do You Belong To?
1 John 4.4 gives us a clear insight into our Family identity:
1John 4.4(Amplified version): “Little children, YOU ARE OF GOD [YOU BELONG TO HIM] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world”.
When you know & you’re sure of Who you belong to, Who Owns you, then living the kind of life, BETTER THAN GOOD LIFE, including TOTAL HEALTH, that’s expected of you becomes very easy & cheap!
When you know Who you’re representing in life, then you won’t allow the powers of darkness to manipulate & cheat you any longer.
There’s a saying in the South West of Nigeria that you’re only permitted to be afraid of your sender not those you’re sent to!
Beloved, do you TRULY belong to God in Jesus?
John 15.16(Amplified version):
“YOU HAVE NOT CHOSEN ME, BUT I HAVE CHOSEN YOU and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I Am], He may give it to you”.
Here, our Lord Jesus makes it abundantly obvious to us that He is the One Who chose us but child of God, have you chosen Him?
King David in the Psalms 100.3(KJV), wrote:
[3″]Know ye that the LORD he is God: IT IS HE THAT HATH MADE US, AND NOT WE OURSELVES; WE ARE HIS PEOPLE, AND THE SHEEP OF HIS PASTURE”.
Knowing your Owner as the Lord boosts your confidence in living a very HEALTHY & prosperous life – 3 John 1.2(KJV):
[2]”Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”.
Those who know Whose they are, who they belong to, are always STRONG(HEALTHY) & doing exploits – Daniel 11.32(Amplified version):
“And such as violate the covenant he shall pervert and seduce with flatteries, BUT THE PEOPLE WHO KNOW THEIR GOD SHALL PROVE THEMSELVES STRONG AND SHALL STAND FIRM AND DO EXPLOITS [FOR GOD]”.
Our God, our heavenly Father, the God & Father of our Lord Jesus does not exploit people rather He empowers us for EXPLOITS!
Jesus says the same thing in John 14.12(Weymouth’s New Testament translation):
“In most solemn truth I tell you that he who trusts in me–THE THINGS WHICH I DO HE SHALL DO ALSO; AND GREATER THINGS THAN THESE HE SHALL DO, because I am going to the Father”.
Your ROOT determines your STRENGTH…!
See what Apostle Peter said in 2 Peter 1.14(Weymouth’s New Testament translation):
“For I know that the time for me to lay aside my body is now rapidly drawing near, EVEN AS OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST HAS REVEALED TO ME”.
By virtue of knowing Who owns him, he was sure of his life, now & hereafter.
Also, let’s read from Apostle Paul in Acts 27.23(Amplified version):
Acts.27.23 – For this [very] night there stood by my side an angel of the GOD TO WHOM I BELONG and WHOM I SERVE and WORSHIP”,
Every person of exploits in destiny recorded in the Holy Scriptures completely identify with their Owner.
Sometime ago, I was in Bauchi, North of Nigeria, to lecture in the Bible School, where I met the wife of a top military brass.
Some few weeks later, while in Minna(in North Central Nigeria) to lecture in another Bible School, I got a call around 2.30am, not too long after I finished my prayers, & it was the General’s wife having issues with the little son’s health, who has not been sleeping well for a while.
After praying for the little boy, she called about forty minutes later that miraculously, the boy is sleeping so soundly!
Because she knew Who she belongs to, she called for help, & the Lord Jesus, her Owner responded in her favour!
As you completely identify with Him, He will show up for you, in Jesus’ most colourful name!
2. Whose Spirit Is In You?
The SPIRIT IS LIFE, & you naturally carry the Spirit of your Maker & Owner, & that’s why at New Birth, the spirit of man that was dead because of sin was recreated by the operation of the Holy Spirit so that man can have a very HEALTHY relationship with the Father.
The SPIRIT you carry determines what you do, how well you do & how far you go in life – Zechariah 4.6-10(KJV);
[6]”Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, NOT BY MIGHT, NOR BY POWER, BUT BY MY SPIRIT, SAITH THE LORD OF HOSTS”.
[7]”Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it”.
[8]”Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying”,
[9]”The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you”.
[10]”For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth”.
Luke 9.55(KJV):
[55]”But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, YE KNOW NOT WHAT MANNER OF SPIRIT YE ARE OF”.
Also in 1 Peter 1.11; & 4.14(KJV):
[11]”Searching what, or what manner of time THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST WHICH WAS IN THEM DID SIGNIFY, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow”.
1 Peter 4.14:
[14]”If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; FOR THE SPIRIT OF GLORY AND OF GOD RESTETH UPON YOU: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified”.
In fact, it is only by the Spirit of God that TOTAL HEALTH is possible for the believer – Romans 8.11(KJV):
[11]”But if the SPIRIT OF HIM THAT RAISED UP JESUS FROM THE DEAD DWELL IN YOU, HE THAT RAISED UP CHRIST FROM THE DEAD SHALL ALSO QUICKEN YOUR MORTAL BODIES BY HIS SPIRIT THAT DWELLETH IN YOU”.
3. What Are You Doing?
What you do determines what you get, your reward:
Matthew 6.33(Amplified version):
“But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides”.
Daniel 11.32(KJV):
“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits”.
Proverbs 11.30(KJV):
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise”.
Daniel 12.3(KJV):
“And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever”.
Exodus 23.25-26(KJV):
“And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee”.
“There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil”.
Revelation 11.18(KJV):
“And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth”.
