Better than good greetings, in Jesus’ most colourful name!
Glory be to God & the Father of our Lord Jesus for His great faithfulness in bringing us gradually to the end of this month & the first quarter of this great & wonderful year!
I am persuaded that the remaining few hours to the close of this month & quarter will deliver our programmed blessings, including your TOTAL HEALTH, in Jesus’ most colourful name!
I have Jesus’ joy in bringing to you the better than good news of the Kingdom, today.
As long as there is life & breath within us, our Father desires that we keep serving Him just as we maintain the fire of our LOVE for Him & our neighbour.
Actually, He desires that our service to Him in all realms should be on the increase, also.
Just as wine gets better, becomes vintage with age, He desires that our walk with & work for Him should be better in quality & abound in quantity with knowledge & good understanding – 1 Corinthians 15.58(Amplified version):
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose]”.
Also, we read the testimony of the Thessalonian Church as recorded in 2 Thessalonians 1.3(Amplified version):
“We ought and indeed are obligated [as those in debt] to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing exceedingly and the love of every one of you each toward the others is increasing and abounds”.
When you link this verse with 1 Thessalonians 1.3(Amplified version):
“Recalling unceasingly before our God and Father your work energized by faith and service motivated by love and unwavering hope in [the return of] our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)”, you’ll discover that where “faith” is mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 1.3, it is in connection with “work energized by faith” as stated in 1 Thessalonians 1.3.
The point is that this Thessalonian Church is noted for their abounding walk with & work for the Lord.
Our Lord Jesus gave full expression to this truth when He Himself also testified of the Church at Thyatira, as Apostle John recorded in Revelation 2.18-19(Weymouth’s New Testament translation):
“To the minister of the Church at Thyateira write as follows: “`This is what the Son of God says–He who has eyes like a flame of fire, and feet resembling silver-bronze”.
“I know your doings, your love, your faith, your service, and your patient endurance; and that of late you have toiled harder than you did at first”.
The Amplified version puts it like this – Revelation 2.18-19:
“And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, Who has eyes that flash like a flame of fire, and Whose feet glow like bright and burnished and white-hot bronze”:
“I know your record and what you are doing, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your recent works are more numerous and greater than your first ones”.
That’s your Lord & my Lord, your Master & my Master commending His children at Thyatira for the increase that heaven noticed about their relationship & service.
May He say the same thing about you & I also, in Jesus’ most colourful name!
When we increase in this dimension, we’re also assured of our abundant rewards, Hebrews 6.10(Amplified version):
“For God is not unrighteous to forget or overlook your labor and the love which you have shown for His name ‘s sake in ministering to the needs of the saints (His own consecrated people), as you still do”.
Also, as earlier stated in 1 Corinthians 15.58(Amplified version):
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose]”.
Our Father Himself promised us as recorded in Genesis 15.1(Amplified version):
“After these things, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram, I am your Shield, your abundant compensation, and your reward shall be exceedingly great”.
Our Lord & Saviour equally reassures us in Revelation 11.18(Weymouth’s New Testament translation):
“The nations grew angry, and Thine anger has come, and the time for the dead to be judged, and the time for Thee to give their reward to Thy servants the Prophets and to Thy people, and to those who fear Thee, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth”.
We see it in the Amplified version like this, Revelation 11.18:
“And the heathen (the nations) raged, but Your wrath (retribution, indignation) came, the time when the dead will be judged and Your servants the prophets and saints rewarded – and those who revere (fear) Your name, both low and high and small and great – and [the time] for destroying the corrupters of the earth”.
In my own life, by God’s grace, since I encountered 1 Corinthians 15.58 in 1997, in Kaduna, Northern Nigeria, when a man of God used it in His message, I’ve seen our Father’s faithfulness abound with ease & peace as my correct & right affection for & commitment to Him abounds.
Good things happen easily & cheaply, & even as I am thinking of some things, they manifest in colours.
For instance, when our first child & daughter was to get married some few years ago, the notice given was quite short, just about three months, & in faith, our finances were quite much, nevertheless, taking stock after the event(nothing was purchased on credit), there was abundant supply of everything, finance & materials.
To Jesus alone be all the glory!
Beloved, never allow the devil in any form to make you think you’ve arrived in your walk with & service to the Lord or discourage you by any seemingly dissatisfied response you’re expecting from the Lord.
Learn to judge Him faithful & He’ll prove Himself faithful in your life.
All you need to do is to take grace – Hebrews 12.28(KJV):
“Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear”.
May the Lord give you good understanding, in Jesus’ most colourful name!
Be sure to take grace to be in fellowship with the saints tomorrow in Church & you’ll be very glad you did!
PEACE!
JESUS IS LORD!
