Better than good greetings, in Jesus’ most colourful name!
This is the concluding part of the Flourish To Flourish Encounter Hour that started yesterday.
2. Who Commands The Supernatural?
As we saw in the first teaching, children of God are to be unstoppable high flyers in the journey of life – Isaiah 60.8(NIV):
“Who are these that fly along like clouds, like doves to their nests”?
Isaiah 11.14(KJV):
“But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them”.
Isaiah 40.31(Living Bible):
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint”.
Revelation 12.14(Amplified version):
“But the woman was supplied with the two wings of a giant eagle, so that she might fly from the presence of the serpent into the desert (wilderness), to the retreat where she is to be kept safe and fed for a time, and times, and half a time (three and one-half years, or 1,260 days)”.
[a]. Children of God, sons & daughters of God, are to command the Supernatural – Isaiah 8.18(Amplified version):
“Behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are signs and wonders [that are to take place] in Israel from the Lord of hosts, Who dwells on Mount Zion”.
Our world is suffering & they know that deliverance will only come from the Church of Jesus – Romans 8.19(Weymouth’s New Testament translation):
“For all creation, gazing eagerly as if with outstretched neck, is waiting and longing to see the manifestation of the sons of God”.
Not too long ago, during an all night session, a brother who had keyed into my miraculous employment at the end of the ’80s, was expecting his miracle employment after the interview, & that night, he received an alert of the favourable employment, to which he promptly shared the testimony to the glory of God.
Another brother was in the all night, who heard the first brother’s testimony & believed God for his own miracle, & guess what, just towards the end of the first service(the next day, on Sunday morning), he, too, received an alert of his favourable employment!

[b]. Servants of God are to command the miraculous – Hebrews 2.4(Amplified version):
“[Besides this evidence] it was also established and plainly endorsed by God, Who showed His approval of it by signs and wonders and various miraculous manifestations of [His] power and by imparting the gifts of the Holy Spirit [to the believers] according to His own will”.
Mark 16.20(Amplified version):
“And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied [it]. Amen (so be it)”.
Servants of God here, simply means those who are called to the five fold ministries; & also, children of God who are serving in one capacity or another – spiritually(fastings, prayers, soul winning, evangelism, Bible/Fellowship studies, music ministry), physically(instrumentalists, sanctuary keepers, decorators, follow up, security etc), financially/materially(tithes & offerings – this service involves everybody), helps & administration, etc.
[c]. God lovers command the Supernatural – Acts 13.22(Message Bible):
“God removed him from office and put King David in his place, with this commendation: ‘I’ve searched the land and found this David, son of Jesse. He’s a man whose heart beats to my heart, a man who will do what I tell him'”.
Still speaking about David, read his testimony in Acts 13.36(Weymouth’s New Testament translation):
“For David, after having been useful to his own generation in accordance with God’s purpose,…”.
Beloved, our heavenly Father is still searching among mankind from place to place, looking for His children whose hearts are beating to His heart, they’re after God’s heart, for increased empowerment, to be useful to their world, in line with God’s Will, after Jesus’ order!
[d]. God worshippers in Spirit & Truth will command the supernatural – John 4.23-24(Wycliffe New Testament):
“But the time is come [But the hour cometh], and now it is, when true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for also the Father seeketh such, that worship him”.
24 “God is a Spirit, and it behooveth them that worship him, to worship in spirit and truth“.
Worshipping the Father in Spirit & Truth is mainly talking about joyful & prompt obedience to His Word! John 6.63; 17.17(Wycliffe New Testament): John 6.63:
“It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing; the words that I have spoken to you, be spirit and life”.
John 17.17:
“Hallow thou them in truth; thy word is truth”.
[e]. The selfless, sacrificial, not the selfish will command the Supernatural – John 21.17-19(Weymouth’s New Testament translation):
15 “When they had finished breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these others do?” “Yes, Master,” was his answer; “you know that you are dear to me.” “Then feed my lambs,” replied Jesus”.
16 “Again a second time He asked him, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Master,” he said, “you know that you are dear to me.” “Then be a shepherd to my sheep,” He said”.
17 “A third time Jesus put the question: “Simon, son of John, am I dear to you?” It grieved Peter that Jesus asked him the third time, “Am I dear to you?” “Master,” he replied, “you know everything, you can see that you are dear to me.” “Then feed my much-loved sheep,” said Jesus”.
Those who are people minded for the sake of our Lord Jesus will be increased in power for the miraculous.
Acts 20.28(Message Bible):
“And now beware! Be sure that you feed and shepherd God’s flock–his church, purchased with his blood–for the Holy Spirit is holding you responsible as overseers”.
1 Peter 5.2-3(NIV):
2 “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers–not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve”;
3“not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock“.
[f]. The pure in heart, living in true holiness will be empowered to command the Supernatural – Romans 1.4(Good News Bible):
as to his divine holiness, he was shown with great power to be the Son of God by being raised from death.
[g]. Those who live by faith will command the Supernatural – 2 Corinthians 4.18(Amplified version):
2Cor.4.18 – Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting.
Faith is seeing in the Word of God as He sees & conduct ourselves according to His Word by grace, after the order of our Lord Jesus – 2 Corinthians 1.24(KJV):
“Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand“.
As children of God, believers in our Lord Jesus, we are to,
2 Corinthians 5:7
“(…walk by faith, not by sight:”)
Faith pleases God & when He’s pleased with you, He’ll encourage you to be more empowered in life – Hebrews 11.6(Amplified version):
the supernatural is your heritage in Christ, therefore, take advantage of it to maximise your glorious, golden & royal destiny & purpose, on time, with ease & peace, in a very grand style & colour!
